The Qatar Grand Prix – Formula 1 Under the Desert Lights

The Qatar Grand Prix is hosted at the Lusail International Circuit, just north of Doha. First opened in 2004 and adapted for Formula 1 in 2021, Lusail has already earned its reputation as one of the most spectacular night races on the calendar.

The 5.38 km (3.34 mile) circuit features 16 corners and a kilometre-long main straight, delivering high-speed battles and plenty of overtaking opportunities. Under the floodlights, the cars look breathtaking as they reach top speeds of 320 km/h. Across 57 laps and a total distance of 306.66 km, drivers face a technical blend of sweeping corners and long straights that push both car and driver to the limit.
